The meat is laid on trays stacked on the side rails of a pallettisation frame which is offered up to the back of a carriage with horizontal clamping arms which lock the trays against the side rails whilst the whole carriage is lifted and tilted to put the trays in a vertical posn. over the bulk transport tub for the meat. Suction nozzles in the mechanism dip into drainage troughs at the edges of the trays to drain off blood etc. The appts. is labour saving.
