摘要
1336979 Brakes KNORR-BREMSE GmbH 16 March 1972 [16 March 1971 3 April 1971 6 Dec 1971] 12436/72 Headings F2E and F2F The mechanical effort of a fluid-pressure actuator is transmitted through levers which provides a mechanical advantage which may be altered by using different levers for different applications. The brake cylinder shown in Figs. 2 and 3 has a piston 17 acting on three levers 18, 19, 20 when pressure is fed in at duct 16. The levers are journalled on pivots 26, 27, 28 on the thrust rod and carry rollers at their ends which engage the piston and abutments 34 respectively. In a modification (Fig. 4, not shown) the outer roller of each lever is radially adjustable by means of longitudinal slots in the levers and the other end roller has a selection of holes to choose from. In Fig. 6, a railway brake actuator includes two levers 71 arranged reversely on ears 75 on the piston 80 loaded by spring 69 to operate a load-link 65. A single lever, pivoted on the casing (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown). It is described how the levers may be applied to arrangements involving two pistons 62, 92 acting in tandem, Fig. 10, in which the cylinders also slide telescopically and act on load 65 via lever 71 pivoted on the casing, and one or more such levers may be employed, they may give increased motion, (Figs. 13-14, not shown) and the leverage may be altered by rotating the piston 180 degrees and using appropriate levers. These are pivoted in these Figures. The use of a pair of nested, self-aligning levers is shown in Figs. 15 and 16, not shown.
