A steering loading device is provided which has a simple construction, operability which is as good as when driving a real vehicle and superior reliability and durability. The device comprises a hydraulic pump (P) which is driven by an electric motor (M) for sucking up oil in a tank (T), a hydraulic rotary device (6) having a forward rotation port (61) and a reverse rotation port (62) which are caused to communicate with said hydraulic pump (P) and adapted to perform a hydraulic motor action by virtue of pressurizing force from said hydraulic pump (P) and a hydraulic pump action by virtue of external driving force from a steering wheel (11), and first and second solenoid proportional pressure reducing valves (31, 32) each having a pump port (41) communicating with said hydraulic pump (P), a pressure reducing port (42) for causing said pump port (41) to communicate with said forward rotation port (61) and reverse rotation port (62) of said hydraulic rotary device (6) when an electric command is given and a tank port (43) for causing said pressure reducing port (42) to communicate with said tank (T) when no electric command is given and provided along first and second lines (21, 22), respectively. |
