The chain comprises links 34, 35, and 36 separated by spacers and holding vertical rods 37 which receive pins 54 carrying holders 41 for the parisons 44. The holders 41 are held in the pins 54 by spring-pressed elements 42 engaging grooves in said pins. Each sprocket 19-24 has a friction plate 45 which engages flanges on the holders 41 to rotate the same. Alternatively (Figs. 6 and 7) the holder flanges may be star shaped (59) the teeth (60) engaging abutments (61) fixed to dust covers 30 surrounding the chain. The latter is tensioned by mounting the sprocket 19 on a pivoted plate 50 movable by a fluid motor 47. The oven is heated by hot air supplied to a lower inlet plenum (11, Fig. 3) removed through an upper plenum (12, Fig. 3) and returned to a heating unit below the oven by a vertical duet 14. Vertical baffles disposed between the parison paths reduce cross flow of the hot air.</p> |
