<p>The beam(2) is of a uniform rectangular section, having a central groove(3) of similar section in the top surface. The groove houses onto intermittent tongue blocks (4) which are previously fixed (5, 6) to the ceiling, transverse screws then completing the installation. A number of parallel beams at intervals give the effect of an exposed beam ceiling, the tongues being of a solid or externally winged metal 'U' section. Each beam may be provided with transverse holes(7) locating the fixing screws.</p> |
