PURPOSE: To provide a lid engaging method and structure wherein a freely opening/closing lid is easily engaged with an open part, a decorative design is improved in the lidded state, and a case is manufactured easily and at low cost. CONSTITUTION: In a structure for tightly closing an open part 5 of a packaging container 10 with opening/closing lids 4a and 4b, an engaging means 1 is provided, consisting of an expandable and contractible strip body 2 and locking members 3 each of which is formed at each longitudinal end of the strip body. A single locking hole 6 through which the strip body 2 of the engaging means 1 is passed and by which the locking members 3 thereof are locked is formed in the outer lid 4b of the packaging container 10 near its edge lying widthwise along the middle. The strip body 2 of the engaging means 1 is passed through the locking hole 6 and the locking members 3 are locked in order to attach the strip body 2 to the lid 4b of the packaging container 10 in a circular form and then the strip body 2 is extended through the lid 4b into the corresponding corner part of the packaging container 10, thereby closing the container tightly with the lids 4a and 4b. |
