<p>PURPOSE:To secure necessary braking power with a small mechanical power by installing a friction pad operated by a liquid pressure and a friction pad operated by a hand brake lever separatively and using the friction pad having the proper friction coefficient corresponding to the both operation forces. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 1 is installed on a chassis so as to be shifted in the right and left directions A and B. In the cylinder 1, a piston 4 is installed, and a liquid pressure chamber 3 is formed. In the piston 4, a sliding member 5 which penetrates the inside of the piston 4 and is supported at one end by the cylinder 1 is arranged. A friction pad 28a is fixed at the other end of the piston, and a lining 31a is fixed also at the edge of the sliding member 5. The piston 4 is shifted in B direction by the liquid pressure from a hole 25, and the sliding member 4 is shifted in B direction through the rotation of a cam 15 by the operation of a hand brake, and contacts with a disc 34.</p> |
