The concentration of ozone in air present in or fed to a confined space (e.g. the passenger space of an aircraft) is reduced by monitoring the concentration of ozone in the space or in a line through which air is fed thereto and feeding nitric oxide (NO), either undiluted, or admixed with an inert carrier gas, e.g. nitrogen or argon, to the space or line in an amount such that the final ozone concentration is achieved which is not substantially above zero. |
