PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a fibrous molded layer whose density is uniform, by supplying a mixed raw material through a shaking sieve to distribute the raw material uniformly into a bottom force, and making the height of the loaded raw material even. CONSTITUTION:A mixed raw material M obtained by mixing a fibrous material and a binder is loaded by shaking a shaking sieve 12 into a mold frame 9. Then after the mixed raw material M is loaded to heap little above the top of the mold frame 9, a scrapter 15 is moved to scrape away the part of the raw mixed material M heaped above the top of the mold frame 9. Then a top force 16 is lowered to press the mixed raw material M in the mold frame 9. By this pressing of the top force 16, the molding surface 18 enters into the mold frame 9 until ledge surfaces 16A, 16A of the top force 16 abut against the mold frame 9, and this pressed state is held to produce a compressed layer MA having a prescribed thickness. A catalyzing gas G in a hollow chamber 17 in the top force is passed through the compressed layer MA to react with a binder mixed in the mixed raw material M to set the binder. |
