PURPOSE:To release an operator from the routine work for monitoring by using an observed value from the detecting value, an evaluation function value and an upper lower limit value at the time of abnormality, applying the method of least squares, and deciding and displaying the abnormality of a plant and a detector. CONSTITUTION:When a plant is abnormal and a (m) number of detectors are all nor mal, an abnormality deciding part 104 generates and abnormality diagnosing starting command S2. An abnormality diagnosing part 105 obtains the evaluation function value J<l> corresponding to the observed value and extracts the maximum, minimum evaluation function values I<l> and J<h>. At such a case, both are equal almost to the value of J<0>. Consequently, an output signal Z of the diagnosing part 105 goes to be zero, and at an abnormality displaying part 106, the lamp of the plant abnormality lights up. Next, when the plant is normal, one of a (m) number of detectors breaks down and the observed value Xl is abnormal, the function value J<l> and J<h> are signifi cantly separated, and therefore, the value of the signal Z goes to be the value of (l) corresponding to J<l>, at the displaying part 106, the lamp of the detector abnormality lights up and simultaneously, the value of (l) is displayed. |
