PURPOSE:To obtain the superconducting coil having high degree of uniformity of magnetic field by a method wherein the width of each block is determined in such a manner that the product of the block width and the density of current is brought almost equal in the respective block, thereby enabling to make uniform the influence of the irregularity of winding of each block on the region of highly uniform magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:The coil windings of each block of the main coil 12 are used as winding blocks 12a and 12b, and a filler 15 is used when there is excessive space in the blocks. A plurality of split protrusions 13a are formed on a spool 13, but the intervals of them are differentiated for every block. For example, the width of l1 of the block wound around the winding block 12a is made equal to the width l2 of the block wound around the winding block 12b. Also, the current density on the block of the winding block 12a is set at i1, the current density on the block of the winding block 12b is set at i2, and the interval between split protrusions 13a is set in such a manner that the formula i1.l1=i2.i2 can be satisfied for the block having the winding block 12a and the block having the winding block 12b. |
