PURPOSE:To cut plural pieces of optical fibers in a lump by constituting the title cutter so that the second arm is displaced relatively against the first arm, and applies a pressing force, and a cutting edge of the first arm gives an edge pressure to the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:As for a base body 1 to which an optical fiber receiver 2 has been attached, an arm to which a cutting edge 5 has been fixed, and an arm 4 on which a stopper 8 has been provided as one body are supported pivotally by a pin 6. In this state, the arm 4 is pressed and the arm 3 is depressed through a spring 7, and even after the cutting edge 5 has hit against the surface of an optical fiber, the arm 4 is pushed in until a rotation is stopped by the stopper 8. The cutting edge 5 is fixed to the arm 3, therefore, it does not slip off horizontally, a useless flaw is not generated in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber, and plural pieces of optical fibers can be cut satisfactorily in a lump. |
