PRODUCTION OF MULTIPLE OXIDE HAVING LARGE SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA

PURPOSE: To produce a superior multiple oxide having a large specific surface area and fit for various uses. CONSTITUTION: In a 1st process, a molten alloy is prepd. from metallic and/or metalloid elements constituting a multiple oxide and an element which is selectively leached by an acid or base. In a 2nd process, a supercooled body is formed by rapidly cooling the molten alloy. In a 3rd process, the element which is selectively leached by an acid or base is leached from the supercooled body. In a 4th process, a material obtd. in the 3rd process is sintered. The objective multiple oxide is produced through those processes.
