PURPOSE:To permit the speedy transfer of articles in lump by holding and transferring the electronic parts on the lead wire root side by a chuck having a holding surface perpendicular to the transfer direction and setting the lead wire between the holding plates and holding the free edge side of the lead wire by a holder and shifting said holder in parallel to the holding surface of the chuck. CONSTITUTION:A feeder supplies an electronic part into the chuck 15 of the first conveyor 1 at the position AA. Then, the electronic part is sent to the delivery position B through intermittent feed. Then, the transport direction of the chuck 15 is set into rectilinear form, and the holding plate of the second conveyor 3 is set into waiting along this rectilinear line, and the lead wire of the electronic part is set between the holding plates in delivery. After the free edge side of the lead wire is held by the holder of the second conveyor 3, the holder is shifted in the direction nearly parallel to the holding surface of the chuck. Then, the electronic part can be delivered in lump into the second conveyor 3 from the chuck 15. Thus, rapid delivery operation is permitted. Further, the structure of the transferring device can be made simple.
