<p>PURPOSE:To surely feed and convey a recording sheet, by driving a platen roller and members, which feed the recording sheet to a recording head, through independent driving sources and changing a rotary speed in accordance with a kind of the recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:Paired rollers 11a, 11b and 14a, 14b, which convey recording sheets 4 and 5, are driven by belts 17f and pulleys 17d which are respectively driven by separate motors 17a, 17b. While a platen roller 8a, which rotates being forced to come into press contact with a recording head 8b, is also driven by a belt 17f and a pulley 17d which are driven by the third motor 17c. Speeds of the motors 17a-17c are controlled in such a manner that a speed of the paired rollers 11, 14 is increased larger than that of the platen roller 8a, when the sheets 4, 5 are formed in large thickness, while decreased smaller than the speed of the platen roller 8a when the sheets are formed in small thickness. In this way, the recording sheet is surely caught and conveyed.</p> |
