PURPOSE:To easily and certainly fix and detach a specimen, by mounting a plurality of small metal pieces composed of a shape memory alloy to a specimen stand. CONSTITUTION:Small metal pieces 6 composed of a shape memory alloy mounted to a specimen stand 2 are bent while held to temp. equal to or less than the transformation point of said alloy in such a state that a specimen 3 is not mounted to the specimen stand 2 and erected by raising temp. to the transformation point or more and, when the specimen 3 is placed on the stand 2 and cooled to the transformation point or less, the specimen 3 is automatically fixed by the bending of the small pieces 6. By this method, the specimen can be easily and certainly fixed and detached.
