In the case of an electrical unit, in which a printed circuit board (5) is permanently arranged on a metal base plate (1) in a housing (1, 4), damaging stresses can occur in the circuit board (5) in the event of temperature changes. The invention avoids these stresses by the position fixing of the circuit board (5) being achieved on the one hand by means of a round hole (10) and an elongated hole (11) in the circuit board (5), into which spigots (8, 9) on the base plate (1) project, and on the other hand by elastically sprung compression elements (18) which are provided between the inside (12) of the cover of the housing (1, 4) and the circuit board (5). <IMAGE>
