Introducing soluble active material into spun fibres - esp. for the insertion of mulch fibres in plant cultures

Incorporation of soluble active substances (I) into nonwoven webs produced by agitating fibres with water jets is effected by adding (I) to the water. The fibres are, e.g., of cotton. (I) are fungicides, insecticides, surfactants or trace elements. USE/ADVANTAGE - The webs are esp. useful as mulching sheets in agriculture. The process is simple, readily automated, and provides a uniform distribution of (I) in the web.
