The invention relates to an abovementioned band-tensioning device, which is suitable for tensioning, and keeping tensioned, even modern, smooth, hard/resilient plastic bands reliably against loosening with a low degree of technical outlay. According to the invention, the through-passage openings and the web for attaching one tensioning-band end are provided at one end of the base part, and a band-tensioning device of the abovementioned type, configured simultaneously as a clamping/tensioning device, is provided at the other end, the winding bolt of which tensioning device is simultaneously a clamping bolt which can be displaced to a limited extent between wedge guides and can be wedged; the base part is configured to form a hollow which enters into a form fit with the winding/clamping bolt; the wound-up tensioning band is forced in in a clearance therebetween and, consequently, the winding/clamping bolt is forced/wedged into the wedge guides. Fastening means, for example a dowel screw, may be provided on the base part.
