PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic color toner having improved spectral reflection characteristics and chargeability and to stably provide distict picture images by incorporating a specified rhodamine compd. into the toner as colorant. CONSTITUTION:A rhodamine compd. expressed by the formula I is incorporated as colorant into an electrophotographic color toner contg. a colorant and a binder resin. In the formula I, D is a mother body of a rhodamine dye; m is an integer 2-4; R is a 5-22C alkyl group; each X1-X4 is an H atom or a sulfone group, wherein at least two among X1, X2, X3 and X4 are sulfone groups. Thus, an electrophotographic color toner having superior spectral reflection characteristics, superior fasteness to light and heat, satisfactory affinity between dyes or pigment and binder resin, and superior chargeability, is obtd. |
