PURPOSE:To improve cooling capacity and to stably cast a plate having good shape at high velocity by indirectly executing cooling of rolls through belts contacting with the outer circumferential faces of the rolls. CONSTITUTION:The belts 6a, 6b are brought into contact with the rolls 1a, 1b with guide rolls 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b. In order to give the prescribed tension to the belts 6a, 6b, the tension is developed to the belts 6a, 6b with temsioner 10a, 10b and the belts are driven while matching with rotation of the casting rolls 1a, 1b with rolls 11a, 11b for driving. In inner part contacting the belts 6a, 6b with the casting rolls 1a, 1b, the cooling devices 12a, 12b are set to execute cooling to the inner faces of the belts and conduction of heat from the surface of the temp. raised casting rolls 1a, 1b while sandwiching the belts. Therefore, the casting rolls 1a, 1b can be cooled from outer part without directly contacting with coolant. |
