PURPOSE:To provide a vibration isolator capable of attenuating and absorbing vibrations over a wide frequency range. CONSTITUTION:A liquid chamber 28 is demarcated into main liquid and sub- liquid chambers 28A and 28B with a partition plate 30. A first restricted passage 36, a through hole, and a second ring restricted passage 54 are provided on the middle part and in the vicinity of the peripheral edge part of the partition plate 30 respectively, and a third restricted passage 58 is attached to a transfer member 64, which is connected to a motor 66. The transfer member 64 is moved to a first position where the first and the third restricted passages 36 and 58 are closed, a second position where the third restricted passage 58 is opened, and a third position where the first restricted passage 36 is opened, by engine vibration frequencies with a control means 68. This causes vibrations having different frequencies to be absorbed with respective restricted passages, and as a whole vibrations are absorbed over a wide frequency range. |
