PURPOSE:To decrease the memory capacity required for storing font data in the character processor. CONSTITUTION:A center line of a character is extracted from front data of the character and registered in a font dictionary 4, and also, from the center line registered in the font dictionary 4, a rule for generating an outline of the character is registered in a typeface dictionary 5. Also, by the center line of the character registered in the font dictionary 4 and the rule registered in the typeface dictionary 5, characters of many kinds of typeface having the center line in common are generated. Moreover, at the time of transforming the character which is registered or generated, a change processing to the font dictionary 4 and the typeface dictionary 5 is separately executed. |
