PURPOSE:To always display a document set to various character sizes with a size being easily visible to an operator by designating an output state picture information, and executing control so that format information is changed and displayed in accordance with the designated output state. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted of a document memory 1 for storing character information, a character size information and format information, an instruction mode instructing means 2 for instructing a display mode for showing a correct display size on a display means 4, a screen control information calculating means 3 for obtaining screen control information by calculating information of size related to the whole paper for displaying its character by the correct display size instructed by the means 2 in accordance with the character size information of the format information in the memory 1 by an output of the means 2, and a display means 4 for displaying the character information of the memory 1 on the display device in accordance with the screen control information obtained by the means 3. In such a way, size of a display at the time of displaying a document is instructed by the number of dots of one character unit, and the set formats are all subjected to variable power by the same rate and outputted. |
