PURPOSE:To extend the life of a fixing roller of an electric copy machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:An elastic body layer 3 is formed by kneading silicone rubber, silica filler, quartz powder, org. peroxide and carbon black, forming the kneaded material into a sheet, winding the sheet on a core metal 2, heating and valcanizing. Then a surface layer 5 is formed by applying a dispersion liquid of polytetrafluoroethylene resin and baking. Thus, the fixing roller 1 is obtd. The elastic body layer 3 has 10-10<8>OMEGA.cm volume specific resistance. Thereby, the obtd. roller is not electrified when a toner is fixed so that offset is prevented and the life of the roller is extended. Thus, a device to supply an offset preventing agent is not needed, which realizes a small-size copying machine. |
