PURPOSE: To automatically correct various misinputs such as an 'insertion error', a 'deletion error', and a 'replacement error' on the input error automatic correcting device and to cause no evil effect due to the automatic correction. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a code conversion execution part 32 which converts an inputted reading character string into a code converted character string, a correction object extraction part 314 which decides an input error in the reading character string by referring to a previously set correction candidate character string group and extracts a character string to be corrected, an alteration part 315 which alters the reading of the character string to be corrected into a previously set corrected reading corresponding to the correction candidate character string, and a correction result evaluation part 317 which compares the conversion result of the reading before the alteration with the conversion result of the corrected reading and sets an evaluation level value; when the evaluation level value is larger than a specific level value, the correction result is employed to automatically correct the input error. |
