PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for displaying stereoscopic picture by which the loss of a stereoscopic effect caused by the movement of a view point is eliminated, the observation area where stereoscopic vision is realized is widened frontward backward leftward, and rightward and a stereoscopic picture can be continuously displayed by following to the movement of the view point position of an observer, in a stereoscopic picture display using a lenticular lens sheet. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a display part 12 constituted so that a liquid crystal shutter 52 is provided in front of a display 2 and the lenticular lens 1 is arranged in front of the shutter 52 and a control part to which the position of the observer's view point is inputted. Then, parallax pictures corresponding to the right and left eyes are displayed on the display 2 in a time-division manner. Besides, the width and the position of the part of the shutter 52 where light is to pass, is changed according to the position of the observer's view point synchronously with the parallax pictures, and the parallax picture is observed by the corresponding eye through the lens 1. |
