PURPOSE: To obtain a highly sensitive acceleration sensor which can detect the acceleration in two directions rotating about two axes. CONSTITUTION: The acceleration sensor 10 comprises a square planar weight 12. The weight 12 has four corners coupled, through four L-shaped coupling parts 14a-14d, with one ends of stripe oscillation plates 18a-18d of four oscillators 16a-16d. The supporting parts 20a-20d and 22a-22d, on the other side of the oscillation plates 18a-18d, are inserted into a board 24 and soldered to electrodes provided on the major surface of the board 24. The oscillation plates 18a-18d are bonded with eight piezoelectric elements 26a1, 26a2, 26b1, 26b2, 26c1, 26c2, 26d1, and 26d2. |
