PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve uniformity of magnetic force in the axial direction of a magnet body portion, by injecting a resin magnet composition to form the magnet body portion, demagnetizing and then abrading the surface of the magnet body portion, and then magnetizing the magnet body portion with a predetermined magnetic force pattern. SOLUTION: A resin magnet composition containing magnet powder is injected into a metal mold having a cavity, and at the same time, magnetization is carried out by an oriented magnetic field set in the metal mold. After the composition is solidified by cooling, the composition is released from the metal mold, thus providing a resin-unified magnet roller 1 including a magnet body portion 2. Then, by applying a demagnetizing current to the resulting magnet body portion 2, the magnetism of the magnetized magnet body portion 2 is eliminated. Subsequently, by grinding and abrading the surface of a surface portion 5 of the magnet body portion, the surface of the magnet body portion 2 is smoothed, thus forming a smooth surface portion 3. Finally, the abraded magnet body portion 2 is magnetized in a predetermined magnetic force pattern. |
