PURPOSE:To provide a printing tape by which printing can be performed while sliding a thermal head smoothly and relatively on the printing tape and prolongment of life of the thermal head can be embodied without causing the thermal head to wear even by such sliding. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head is constituted so that along with formation of a heat sensitizer layer 2 on a base sheet 1 an overcoat layer 7 is formed on the heat sensitizer layer 2, furthermore, a protective layer 8 consisting mainly of normal temperature curing silicone resin is formed on the overcoat layer 7 and printing is performed while sliding the thermal head relatively on the protective layer 8. Hereby, the thermal head is slide smoothly and relatively on a printing tape T, then the thermal head is not worn even by such sliding and the prolongment of life is embodied. |
