PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with reproducing of various applications conformed to the MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) 1 and MPEG 2 standards with one type of hardware and to deal, if a new application appears, with this only with a software. SOLUTION: In a video/sound reproducing system for reproducing information composed of video data, audio data and other data, A CPU 100 separates the information into video data, audio data and other data using a software, and each separated data is placed in a system memory 120. If a transfer request is received from a processing part for processing each data, a PCI bridge 221 transfers each data from the system memory to the processing part. |
