PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the speed while an accelerator is totally closed (during speed-change). SOLUTION: Relating to an ENG test system wherein an engine(ENG) and a dynamo(DY) are directly connected together, a car speed V for performing the same test as a finished car with engine car speed control is obtained by, at clutch(CL) connection, applying DY speed ND with speed change ratio iM, differential gear ratio iD, and wheel radiusγ(11-13), while the car speed is kept (31), and at CL 'off', it is obtained by integrating (31) a running resistance command RL with a car weight W0 from the maintained state, and while from CL 'off' to CL 'on', it is obtained by detecting ENG torqueτP (21-23), converting it to output axis torque with a CL torque table 24 for detecting running resistance (25-27), and then integrating (31) a running resistance deviation 28 with the car weight W0 .
