INK JET CARTRIDGE ARRANGING METHOD

PURPOSE: To perform the accurate positioning of an image by generating a phase difference signal as a function of the position of a carriage assembly and emitting the timing signal corrected in response to this phase difference signal. CONSTITUTION: A carriage assembly 100 for holding an ink jet cartridge or pen is provided. Each cartridge has a plurality of nozzles discharging ink in response to the application of an electric signal. A first mechanism moving the carriage assembly 100 on a first scanning shaft and a second mechanism moving a printing medium on the second medium shaft traversing the first shaft is provided. A position encoder detects the position of the carriage assembly on the medium shaft and a control circuit emits ink to the medium by the nozzles in the ink jet cartridge and emits an electric signal forming an image on the medium in a test pattern form in response to the timing signal.
