PURPOSE:To prevent wear, improve reliability and life, and prevent a bad effect of static electricity, by forming at least either the sliding face of a shaft or that of a bearing out of a sintered body containing over one sort of titanium carbide, titanium nitride, and their compound as main components or a coating layer containing over one sort of them as main components. CONSTITUTION:At least either a shaft 1 fitted with a rotor 4 or a thrust bearing 2 supporting them is formed out of a sintered body containing over one sort of titanium carbide, titanium nitride, and their compound as main components. Otherwise, either of sliding faces, namely either sliding face of the shaft 1 or the thrust bearing 2 is formed out of a coating layer containing over one sort of titanium carbide, titanium nitride, and their compound as main components. Consequently the material itself is excellent in high hardness, self- lubricating property, and environment stability, a wear quantity can be reduced, starting torque can be lowered, and hence the long life can be obtained. |
