<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detecting method for smoothing capacitor in automatic carrier capable of shortening the time required for repairing an automatic carrier by easily and speedily detecting an abnormality of a smoothing capacitor installed in an automatic carrier. SOLUTION: An abnormality of the smoothing capacitor installed in the automatic carrier is detected by detecting a travel distance (d) of the automatic carrier after cutting off the supply of power to a travel driving device at the time of normal traveling, previously storing these detected data (d) as reference data (d), detecting a travel distance d' until stopping the automatic carrier by cutting off the supply of power to the travel driving device at the time of check traveling, comparing these detected data d' with the reference data (d) and discriminating that difference becomes a value out of the predetermined allowable range.</p> |
