PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic image synthesizing system eliminating the need of exact repositioning of a camera or an object and an expensive camera. SOLUTION: A large synthetic image 8 of an object is generated from a series of small source images 7 of the object with different visual fields to be obtained, for example, via a microscope to constitute an image forming means to supply an image of an object by this system. Data to indicate the synthetic image of the object are stored in a data storage means like a frame storage board 4 in a computer 5. Data to indicate a first and the following source images are included in the data to indicate the synthetic image and thus, pieces of recorded data to indicate the synthetic image are increased. To allow the recorded data to increase, a measured value of a degree of coincidence between the latest source image to be supplied by the image forming means and individual images in plural areas corresponding to the synthetic image area is supplied, when the measured value of the degree of coincidence is maximum. The data to indicate the following source images are included in the data to indicate the synthetic image and thus, the source images are made coincident with the synthetic image at exact positions. |
