The present invention is directed to providing a therapeutic agent for diseases caused by PTH or PTHrP. The present invention provides a therapeutic agent for diseases caused by PTH or PHTrP, which comprises, as an active ingredient, an agonist or antagonist binding to a PTH receptor or PTHrP receptor, or a substance which binds to a ligand of such a receptor to thereby promote or inhibit binding of the ligand to the receptor.
