PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter having a foldably containable seedling stand, designed to dispense with the positioning and/or linking operation(s) for traverse feed drive shafts by manual operation to simplify the seedling stand's spreading operation, and also finish the linking between both the traverse feed drive shafts by merely setting a traverse feed lever in motion once after spreading the seedling stand. SOLUTION: This transplanter has such a construction that among a plurality of seedling stands 5, a mobile seedling stand 5A on the end side is designed to be containable in a folded fashion; wherein a traverse feed lever shaft 20 is made up of a mobile traverse feed lever shaft 20A foldably containable together with the mobile seedling stand 5A, a stationary traverse feed lever shaft 20B supported on a stationary seedling stand 5B, and a springy positioning mechanism 21 for automatically linking both the traverse feed lever shafts 20A and 20B to each other at a point when the corresponding turning angles coincide with each other, and furthermore, a traverse feed lever 11 is set up on the stationary traverse feed lever shaft 20B side, while a traverse feed regulation mechanism 35 on the mobile traverse feed lever shaft 20A side.
