摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring seal structure of a rotary vane type steering gear capable of fulfilling a sealing function without applying pressure oil to the back having high reliability so that replacement is not needed until a periodic docking. SOLUTION: A pair of annular grooves 12, 13 are formed in an annular slit 11, a ring seal material 15 on the outer peripheral side is formed by a cylindrical part 15a fitted in the annular groove 12 of the outer peripheral end and a ring-like lip part 15c projected inward in the radial direction. An annular oil groove 15f is formed in a sealing surface 15h brought into sliding contact with the rotor end face 2e, and a sealing material 16 on the inner peripheral side is formed by a cylindrical part 16a fitted in the annular groove 13 of the inner peripheral end and a ring-like lip part 16c projected outward in the radial direction. An annular oil groove 16f is formed in a sealing surface brought into sliding contact with the rotor end face 2e. In the mounted state, the outer peripheral edge part of the ring seal material 15 on the outer peripheral side overlaps the inner peripheral edge parts of a lateral sealing material (not shown in Fig.) of the vane and a vertical sealing material 6a of a segment 6, and with a suitable gap between the tip parts of the ring-like lip parts 15c, 16c, an oil leakage space 17 is formed between both ring sealing materials 15, 16 and the bottom of the annular slit 11.
