METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTHENTICATING CARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an illegal use by another person even on conditions the holder himself/herself of a card does not report a steal or the like to a managing center. SOLUTION: In a managing center 3, the ID number of an ID card 1 read by terminal equipment 2 is received and a signal requesting the use permission of the card is transmitted to a portable telephone set 4 previously designated corresponding to the ID number. After the answer of use permission for the holder himself/herself is received from the portable telephone set 4, a use permitting signal is sent to the terminal equipment 2.
