PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that synchronizes at least one mobile station with a base station, in a mobile electrical communication network. SOLUTION: This invention proposes that a synchronizing signal be emphasized at a prescribed interval for a reinforced synchronization interval, that is, called an RSI interval which lasts a short time. Thus, active cycles of synchronization channels of the base station are increased by a time interval, corresponding to the reinforced synchronization interval. Thus, an acquisition valid time of the synchronizing signal is decreased, and thus the size and number of time windows required for the acquisition can be reduced. Increasing the number of synchronization bursts for the RSI interval can increase the activity cycle of the synchronization channel. This method is applied to third generation electrical communication network of a UMTS-FDD type.
