摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of elements of a gradation voltage selecting circuit in the multi-level display of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: This driving circuit is provided with a gradation voltage generating circuit which generates voltages corresponding to obtainable values of video data on a one-to-one basis in a nonlinear area and generates voltages corresponding to obtainable values of the video data on a two-to-one basis in a linear area, a gradation voltage selecting circuit which selects one voltage in the voltages generated in the gradation voltage generating circuit in accordance with the actual value of the video data and outputs it, a judgment means judging whether the actual value of the video data is in the nonlinear area or not and an output circuit which outputs the voltage outputted by the gradation voltage selecting circuit as it is when the actual value of the video data is in the nonlinear area and outputs a voltage in which an offset voltage is added to the voltage outputted by the gradation voltage selecting circuit in accordance with the even number or the odd number of the actual value of the video data or to the voltage outputted by the gradation voltage selecting circuit when the actual value of the video data is in the linear area.
