PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indication instrument 1 high in productivity by improving the visual recognition method of a pointer P on a display plate 2 in the indication instrument 1 making beam light such as a laser the pointer P. SOLUTION: The beam light incident at an angle wholly reflecting on the indication face 2a or the rear side surface 2b of the display plate 2 from a light source 3 is constituted to advance on the display plate 2 of the indication instrument 1 while repeatedly wholly reflecting on the inside of the display plate 2, and an incident face 2a acted so that the angle making the beam light and the display plate 2 on the incident point where the beam light is incident on the inside of the display plate 2 further approaches 90 degrees is provided. Therefore the brightness of the pointer P is enhanced, when the indication instrument 1 is assembled, an incident angle adjustment range on the display plate 2 of the beam light is widened, the precision of each part constituting the indication instrument 1 is partially relieved, further, optical axis adjustment working is simplified in assembling, and the cost of the indication instrument 1 can be reduced.
