PURPOSE: To decompose and purify the soluble organic material except for the black smoke, which is included in the unburned combustible particulates exhausted as white smoke or blue smoke, in a combustion exhaust emission control device for catching the unburned combustible particulates exhausted from an engine of a diesel automobile or the like, and for burning it for elimination. CONSTITUTION: High frequency power is fed to a combustion exhaust emission control filter 9 of a ceramic honeycomb structure for catching the unburned combustible particulates, which are exhausted from an engine of a diesel automobile or the like, so as to raise the temperature of the unburned combustible particulates to the temperature, at which the unburned combustible particulates are heated by itself for burning, and an exhaust gas purifying catalyst 10 is provided in a heating chamber 1, and high frequency power is similarly fed so as to heat the high frequency power absorbing material, and the soluble organic material of the unburned combustible particulates as an element of white smoke or blue smoke is decomposed for purification by the work of the purifying catalyst. |
