CLEANING METHOD FOR POLLUTED SOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method for reducing environmental risk by removing pollutants from soil polluted with heavy metals. SOLUTION: In this cleaning method for polluted soil, a cleaning agent containing metal iron, iron oxide and a calcium compound is brought into contact with a soil solution (a mixture of soil and water) having a water phase, to separate the cleaning agent. This method can be conducted at a polluted site. The polluted soil can be separated to a highly polluted component (soil) and a low polluted component (soil), to bring the purification agent into contact with the highly polluted soil.
