BRAZING STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR EGR COOLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brazing structure and method for an EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) cooler, which effectively improves the flowability of a brazing filler so as to increase the amount of the brazing filler to be supplied to corners. SOLUTION: The brazing structure has grooves which are provided to make a brazing filler location communicate with the corners formed with the ends of respective tubes rising from the end plate. The brazing method is as follows: a required number of tubes are fitted into the end plate on one end of a shell. The brazing filler is placed at the brazing filler location set up on the center of the end plate. The brazing filler is heated and melted, and the molten brazing filler is made to flow to the corners from the brazing filler location through the grooves so that the respective corners are joined and clearances are sealed.
