PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for detecting the necessity of maintenance, operation abnormality and the like caused by lowering of strength due to a secular change in machinery. SOLUTION: An acceleration detecting means is attached to a driven body driven by a servo motor. A processor of an axis control circuit for feedback-controlling a position and a speed of the servo motor conducts the feedback-controlling for the position and the speed in every position and speed control processing period, and finds a current command to be output to current loop processing (a1-a6). An acceleration detection valueαf is read by the acceleration detecting means (a7), an abnormal signal is output when the acceleration detection valueαf comes to a threshold valueαs or more (a8), alarm display is stopped, and a machine or the like is stopped not to be operated. Since an acceleration of the driven body is directly detected by the acceleration detecting means, the abnormality is surely detected when the machine gets old to generate vibration, when the driven body collides with other object, when the abnormality in the machine such as damage of a component or the like is generated, and when the like is generated.
