PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for exterminating mosquito larvae designed to efficiently kill the mosquitos not only causing unpleasant pruritus but also mediating various kinds of infectious diseases such as Japanese encephalitis or malaria or filaria of pet dogs in the stage of the mosquito larvae hatched from eggs without using a chemical adversely affecting humans and animals or biosystems and without taking special labor and time by the humans and thereby eliminate and exterminate the mosquito larvae even if the mosquito larvae emerge to adults in the interior of the container by an automatic opening and closing mechanism of a passage with a float valve interlocking with an increase or decrease in the quantity of water without making the mosquitos escape to the external world. SOLUTION: The container for exterminating the mosquito larvae is characterized as follows. A hollow tube (2) is protrusively installed in the lower part of a recessed guide cylinder (1). A doughnut-like float valve (3) in such a state as to be slidably pivoted on the outer diametral part thereof is fitted into a water storage container (5) in which a protruding guide cylinder (4) is formed in the base part.
