PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of reducing a circuit scale smaller than a prior art. SOLUTION: The timing of the gain control of an amplifier circuit 35 for reception by a gain control means (signal processing section 1) is switched to timing t1 in which a leading portion of a transmission signal is received and timing t2 before receiving the transmission signal by gain control timing switching means (the signal processing section 1 and a switching section 2). Consequently, it is not necessary to provide an amplifier circuit for relay in addition to the amplifier circuit for reception like the prior art.
