PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of preventing the erroneous transmission and unauthorized transmission of an original document even for any transmission destination. SOLUTION: When the opposite party for which transmission is designated by an operation/display section 15 is set at "permission" in a transmission-permitted opposite party information table 33, an image reader 13 reads the original document, and an image storage device 19 stores the image together with the opposite party so that the image is made to correspond to the opposite party. Then, in the designated opposite party, the management information of the read original document and the information of the first page of the read original document are printed as a transmission confirmation table. When the manager ID inputted from the operation/display section 15 matches one of manager IDs of a manager information table 31, the transmission confirming table is read, and the read data stored in the image storage device 19 including management information same as the management information of the read transmission confirming table are transmitted to the opposite party made to correspond to the read data.
